Welcome to my Web site!

It is my privilege and honor to serve the people of the 45th Legislative District in the Senate.

On December 5, the King County Council unanimously selected me to fill the 45th District Senate vacancy left by the tragic loss of the late Sen. Andy Hill, who died in October from lung cancer. The voters of the 45th District will have an opportunity to choose a new senator in a special election that will be held in November. I will not be a candidate.

In the meantime, I am devoted to responding to the needs of our district. My goal is to look for smart, commonsense solutions to the challenges we will face during the 2017 legislative session.

Please use the links on this site to learn about our state’s laws and lawmaking process and much, much more. I hope you will contact me, using the information provided, if I can be of assistance.

Thanks for visiting; I look forward to hearing from you.

Why did I return to the Senate?
